Here's a little bit about Joanna: Joanna began venturing into music as a young teenager. Loving the guitar her whole life and always enjoying the atmosphere of worship she began writing songs at age 14. The songwriting was nothing more than an outlet and a way to talk and pour out her heart to our Father in Heaven we adore so much! It wasn't until age 15 that she thought, "Hey, I'm writing songs and it's about time I try this guitar thing I've been dreaming of anyway!" With the help of talented friends and an Ibanez loaned to her by her big sister; Joanna started clanking away. Never thinking she could be considered a "singer", Joanna simply took on adding vocals to her playing to keep herself on rhythm! haha It was only a matter of months before she was writing song after song! Never really being concerned about what everyone else thought about her music, because..well.. it was all for Jesus anyway! haha So now at the age of 21 Joanna's skills and style having changed and matured with her years of playing, but still year after year she has poured out her heart in song. One thing has never changed about how she feels about her music and that is, it is meant to be shared! Some could call it straight up acoustic. Some may call it worship. Joanna's closest friend and sister Teresa calls it "Coffee House. Indie, Folk"! Joanna prefers "coffee house". Most importantly is the hope and prayer that your heart is moved! If you are a lover of the Lord, if you've ever faced trying times, if you're a dreamer, a friend or a child of the Lord... you'll probably like what you hear from this girl and her guitar :) This particular evening Joanna will be accompanied by a dear and precious friend!
